Neither Yet Rest For The Hitless: Tigers 2, Angels 1
Weaver pitches a good game, and Scot Shields gives up the winning run on an RBI single following Adam Kennedy's uncharacteristic misplay of a routine ground ball. And still, none of the Lads can hit. 6-4-2 World Headquarters is not yet on suicide watch, yet I find myself concerned about certain others of the Halosphere who feel it meet to trade the lot of the team's valuable players. At this point, the lot of them would garner... not a whole lot. Whatever ailment afflicted Casey Kotchman's bat seems to have spread to the group as a whole.
The Angels' last win was a week ago. That's sobering. With the team having cast its fate with its rookies so heavily, we may be in for a lot of this kind of thing this year. As fans, we're betting on the come.
