Some Mets-Related Headlines

Zambrano has elbow surgery: Mets right-hander Victor Zambrano had surgery Monday to replace a torn ligament in his pitching elbow, an injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season.

Zambrano could be finished: Victor Zambrano's career is in jeopardy after the righthander yesterday unexpectedly had a second Tommy John elbow surgery.

Fortunato's season over: The team said right-handed reliever Bartolome Fortunato would undergo season-ending Tommy John surgery on his right elbow next week.

Kazmir emerging as Devil Rays ace: Kazmir won a career-best fourth consecutive decision when he beat the Chicago White Sox 10-7 Tuesday night, becoming the youngest AL pitcher with six victories this early in a season since Oakland's Vida Blue in 1971.

Ah, the Mets. The same old Mets. Guess that Zambrano and Fortunato for Kazmir trade isn't working out so well.

Comments:
Still got to fancy them for the NL East though, even though they do still have 1 spot up for grabs in their rotation - good mix of power (Beltran, Floyd, Wright etc) with speed (Reyes) and decent pitching (Pedro, Glavine etc)
