Minor League Scorebook

2006-06-10: Salt Lake 1, Tucson 6 #
Aybar: 0-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Willits, R: 1-4
Erstad: 0-4
Kendrick, H: 1-4, 1 K
Gorneault: 0-4, 2 K
Mathis, J: 2-4
Saunders: (L, 7-3), 5.2 IP, 2 ER, 8 H, 3 K, 3 BB, 1 HR, 2.51 ERA
Howie Kendrick, hitting cleanup but only going 1-4, is still hitting over .400 (.410), but did nothing else of note. Darin Erstad now has a .080 average and inexplicably hits in the three-hole. Joe Saunders' lack of strikeouts finally caught up to him, giving up four runs, but only two earned as the Bees made a pair of errors to compound problems. Chris Bootcheck can't get out of an inning without giving up a run it seems (two in 1.1 IP), and now sports a 8.59 ERA; whatever's wrong with him, I have to wonder whether a demotion to Arkansas might not be a good idea.
2006-06-10: Arkansas 4, Springfield 9 #
Peel, A: 3-5, 2 2B
Wood: 1-4, 1 K
Porter: 1-3, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Wilson: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI
Pali: 1-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI
Day: 2-4, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 K
Davidson: (L, 1-6), 5.2 IP, 7 ER, 9 H, 3 K, 5 BB, 1 HR, 6.06 ERA
Dan Davidson fell off the Chronicler's watch list and that was back when he had only a 5.67 ERA; he's now appreciably worse than that, and I have to wonder when the Angels ship him back down to Rancho or release him. Greg Porter, Matt Pali, and Devin Day all got solo homers that weren't nearly enough to compensate for the awful sucktitude of Davidson, whose bane was 47th-round pick Terry Evans. Evans homered twice and drove in seven runs; the loss was Davidson's fourth straight losing decision. At least Ty Boykin had the sense to put Aaron Peel back in at the leadoff spot, where he went 3-5 with a pair of doubles.
2006-06-10: Rancho Cucamonga 5, San Jose 13 #
Leblanc: 0-3, 2 BB, 2 K
Rodriguez, S: 0-4, 1 BB, 3 K
Collins: 1-4, 1 2B
Toussaint: 0-3, 1 BB, 2 K
Johnson: 2-3, 1 3B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 BB
Rodriguez: (L, 1-6), 3.1 IP, 8 ER, 6 H, 3 K, 2 BB, 1 HR, 5.37 ERA
Not another loss... at least the Cubs won, otherwise it would be a terrible day in baseball. Francisco Rodriguez sucked yet again, and as you can tell by his 1-6, 5.37 ERA record, he's been anything but good in a Quakes uniform this year.
2006-06-10: Fort Wayne 3, Cedar Rapids 8 #
Statia: 1-4
Trumbo: 1-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 2 K
Infante: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 3B, 1 RBI
Marek: (W, 7-1), 6.0 IP, 1 ER, 4 H, 12 K, 1 BB, 1 HR, 2.46 ERA
Howell: 2.0 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 3 K, 0 BB, 1 HR, 4.50 ERA
Didjurgis: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 1 K, 0 BB, 3.27 ERA
A friggin' brilliant game by Stephen Marek, who gets the win. Tim Didjurgis, who had some tough stretches in May, posted another scoreless frame.
2006-06-10: AZL Angels did not play
2006-06-10: Orem did not play
2006-06-10: Tacoma 2, Las Vegas 3 #
Izturis: 0-3, 1 BB
Valdez: 4-4, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI
Navarro: 0-3, 1 RBI
Young, D: 0-4, 1 RBI
Loney: 0-3, 1 BB
Riggs: 2-4
Robles: 2-3
Billingsley: (W, 6-3), 5.0 IP, 2 ER, 4 H, 6 K, 3 BB, 3.95 ERA
Osoria: (H, 2), 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 0 K, 1 BB, 5.84 ERA
Hamulack: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 4 K, 0 BB, 0.00 ERA
They say Billingsley is throwing too many pitches, and with 103 after only five, I believe it. Franquelis Osoria managed to avoid demotion or release for the moment by posting a scoreless two frames, and I should say the same for Tim Hamulack.
2006-06-10: Huntsville 2, Jacksonville 6 #
Hu: 1-4, 1 RBI
Abreu: 1-4
LaRoche: 2-3, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Ruggiano, J: 2-2, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 1 BB
Hanrahan: 1-2, 1 RBI
Hanrahan: (W, 7-2), 7.0 IP, 0 ER, 3 H, 5 K, 3 BB, 2.58 ERA
Hoorelbeke: 1.1 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 2 K, 0 BB, 0.24 ERA
Amazing the 51's won this one at all, considering Izturis is hitting .214 and only got on base once. Dioner Navarro made his second rehab appearance, and has yet to collect a hit (though he did get an RBI). A strong game by Joel Hanrahan, who led the Suns to their 11th straight victory, even helping his own cause by driving in a run.
2006-06-10: Vero Beach 3, Palm Beach 6 #
Paul, X: 1-5, 1 RBI, 1 K
Dewitt: 0-4, 3 K
Dunlap: 0-4, 1 K
Raglani: 0-3, 1 BB, 2 K
Hoffmann: 2-4
Malone: (L, 1-3), 3.0 IP, 5 ER, 10 H, 2 K, 1 BB, 5.90 ERA
Megrew: 1.0 IP, 0 ER, 0 H, 3 K, 1 BB, 0.00 ERA
Thppt.
2006-06-10: Rome 4, Columbus 7 #
Godwin: 2-5, 1 K
De Jesus: 2-5
Pedroza: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K
Locke: 2-4, 1 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K
Mitchell: 0-2, 2 BB, 2 K
Pfeiffer: 4.1 IP, 4 ER, 8 H, 4 K, 1 BB, 1 HR, 3.69 ERA
Castillo: (W, 4-1) (in relief), 2.2 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 2 K, 1 BB, 3.86 ERA
Gomez de Segura: 2.0 IP, 0 ER, 1 H, 6 K, 1 BB, 5.92 ERA
A four-run seventh sealed the deal for the Catfish, an inning that included a bases-loaded walk and a scoring run on a wild pitch and a Jason Mooneyham RBI single that plated two. The Catfish are 6-3 in June.
2006-06-10: GCL Dodgers did not play
2006-06-10: Ogden did not play

Comments:
Release? I don't think release is on the table for Osoria or Hamulack.

I'm being brutal.
