Barry Zito Changes Agents To Scott Boras

Barry Zito, the presumptive free agent prize starter in a decidedly blah offseason for those sorts, has signed on with Scott Boras as his agent.
"We're really excited to be associated with a premier pitcher like Barry Zito," Boras told ESPN Insider's Jerry Crasnick. "He's a guy in the prime of his career. He reminds me a lot of Greg Maddux in the early '90s. He's got dominance as a location and control pitcher, and he's durable and consistent at what he does."
I smell a Z in the Yankees' future... interesting point made here that Boras automatically lowers the expected return on a trade, because it means Zito probably will want to test free agency and give any team that ends up with no chance to negotiate with him one-on-one.

Comments:
Boy, Boras doesn't take long to way over promote his new client. Comparing Zito to one of the greatest 4 year runs in history (certainly somewhere in the top 10) is ridiculous.
