Mid-Day Bullets
- A's fans do not smell like explosives.
- The Dodgers are on their best run in 107 years, and Dayn Perry thinks Ned Colletti's the man responsible.
- Alfonso Soriano was placed on waivers, but it's expected that this is what passes for a gag in the Nats' front office.
- The Yankees broke ground on their new billion-dollar stadium, one which will extract a ton of dough from the city, and will screw over the rest of baseball by allowing them to keep millions in money that should have gone toward revenue sharing, plus a whole host of other evils, including a smaller seating capacity, the better to drive up ticket prices.
- Former Angel Scott Schoeneweis was sold to the Reds for a PTBNL or cash.
Comments:
Scout.com is reporting that Cedar Rapids SS Hainley Statia has been promoted to Rancho. Here's guessing that Sean Rodgriguez will be (or has been) promoted to Arkansas to replace Brandon Wood, who's left the team to participate in Olympic qualifying for the USA.
