Dodgers Interview Farm Director Candidates
The Dodgers interviewed two candidates for the now-vacant farm director's job, Marc DelPiano and DeJon Watson; the Dodgers have already spoken with John Shoemaker and Chris Haydock, internal candidates for the job.
DelPiano is a special assignment scout for the Boston Red Sox and previously was farm director for the Florida Marlins. Watson is director of professional scouts for the Cleveland Indians and previously was the Cincinnati Reds' scouting director.Shoemaker has been a Dodgers minor league manager for 16 years, most recently leading double-A Jacksonville to back-to-back Southern League titles.
Haydock was an assistant to the previous Dodgers farm director, Terry Collins, who took a job as manager of the Orix Buffaloes of the Pacific League in Japan.
