Two Games
Good Grief! A Win! Angels 5, Rays 4
The Angels survived a hurricane, and worse, a meltdown by Jose Arredondo, to pick up a win, finally, against the Rays. I scarcely have the energy to write about it. Suffice to say that Jered Weaver got his first quality start in about two months, Garret Anderson got a hit in the top of the ninth for the go-ahead run, and K-Rod faced the minimum. There, I'm done, and whew.Thppt: Rockies 4, Dodgers 3
The Dodgers should have won this game, but the Rocks kept chipping away at an early 3-0 lead, one run at a time, and the Dodgers didn't make any of their opportunities stick. Disappointing to say the least, and aided by four Dodger errors, though only one of the runs — the tying run in the seventh — was unearned.Manny got a lousy single. And the Dodgers are back to two games out of first.
