Orange County Prosecutors File Murder Charges In Adenhart Case

Orange County prosecutors filed murder charges against Andrew Gallo today in the Nick Adenhart case.
Dist. Atty. Tony Rackauckas said Andrew Gallo acted "selfishly and recklessly," noting he had one previous conviction on DUI charges. If convicted in this case, Gallo faces up to 55 years to life in prison.

Gallo, 22, of Riverside, also faces charges for fleeing the scene of the accident and having a blood-alcohol level of well above the legal limit.

An unconfirmed report at Halos Heaven says Gallo tried to escape a second time after he was apprehended by Fullerton police.

Here's the Orange County District Attorney's press release. The Register's story says that Gallo will face three murder counts.
